Set-up and Take-down Times & Procedures
- Set-up Times:
- Early Set-up: Thursday April 9 (7:30 - 9:30 PM)
- Day-of Set-up: Friday April 10 (7:00 - 7:45 AM)
- Take-down:
- Saturday April 11 (6:30 - 7:30 PM)
- Please remain set-up through the closing ceremony.
Approved / Restricted Goods & Services
Exhibitors may sell educational, wellness-related, or professional items and services that align with the mission and values of the Muslim Mental Health Conference. MMHC does not take a percentage of exhibitor sales; all revenue belongs entirely to the exhibitor. While donations to support MMHC’s work are always welcome, they are never required.
Examples of permitted items include:
- Books, educational materials, or toolkits
- Clinical or wellness resources (e.g., therapy workbooks, self-care guides, culturally tailored materials)
- Professional services (e.g., continuing education programs, consultation services, community initiatives)
- Art, merchandise, or creative works that promote healing, awareness, or cultural connection
Prohibited items or activities include:
- Products making medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic claims not supported by evidence
- Prescription medications, supplements, or clinical interventions
- Materials that conflict with the educational mission of MMHC or CME/CEU standards
- Aggressive solicitation or roaming sales outside your assigned booth
- Sale of food or beverages is strictly prohibited by the venue
- Illegal, regulated, or unsafe items
- Weapons of any kind
- Explosives, fireworks. or hazardous materials
- Items or services requiring special licenses or permits that the exhibitor cannot produce upon request
- Explicit, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Products violating copyright, trademark, or licensing laws
- Items that produce smoke, strong scents, airborne particles, or irritants are not permitted indoors, as they may pose health risks for individuals with asthma, allergies, chemical sensitivities, or other health conditions.
Note: All sale items and materials are subject to review and approval by the MMHC Development Team. Any item or service deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or misaligned with the conference’s mission and values is at the sole discretion of conference organizers. If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, describe it in your Sponsor/Exhibitor Registration Form or email Psychiatry.MMH@msu.edu before registering.
Booth Display Guidelines
- Maximum height: 8ft, each 4-ft table must include a minimum 1-ft clearance on both sides
- All signs and banners must be no larger than 4-ft wide and 8-ft tall and must be able to stand independently in front of, behind, or on top of a table
- No loud audio, strobing lights or obstructions
- Power/internet/AV requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance through the MMHC Development Team. MMHC may not be able to supply these requests even if requests are permitted.
