MMHC seeks to offer a variety of Continuing Education credits for attendees. As a result, the conference and its partners must adhere to specific requirements held by Michigan State University's (MSU) Continuing Medical Education (CME) Office, The Accreditation Council for Continuining Medical Education (ACCME), as well as those of any other accrediting institutions partnering with the conference. This is to ensure that educational spaces are free from the influence of commercial interests.
If you are a sponsor or exhibitor representing any of the following Commercial Sponsor categories, please note the additional guidelines and restrictions below:
- Bio-medical startups that have begun a governmental regulatory approval process
- Compounding pharmacies that manufacture proprietary compounds
- Device manufacturers or distributors
- Diagnostic labs that sell proprietary products
- Growers, distributors, manufacturers or sellers of medical foods and dietary supplements
- Manufacturers of health-related wearable products
- Pharmaceutical companies or distributors
- Pharmacy benefit managers
- Reagent manufacturers or sellers
- Advertising, marketing, or communication firms whose clients are any of the above companies
Additional Commercial Support Guidelines and Restrictions
- Sponsor logos, products, and promotional materials are not permitted in educational spaces during, 30 minutes before, or for 30 minutes after conference sessions / CME learning activities
- Exhibits may not interfere or compete in any way with learning experiences or activities prior to, during, or immediately after CME activities
- Commercial representatives may not engage in sales or marketing activities while in places of educational activity
- Subtle advertising such as having book bags, pens, or other accoutrement bearing the name/logo of the manufacturer and/or its products is not permitted in educational spaces
- If your sponsor package includes a table reservation, you may not leave signage or other promotional materials bearing the name/logo of the manufacturer at your table. This includes during lunch time.
