Dr Cynthia Arfken of Wayne State University presents: Alcohol and drug abuse is a serious global public health and medical problem. This brief review will broadly summarize global research on the magnitude of the problem. Finally, the presentation will conclude with recommendations for future research on alcohol and drug use and abuse among Muslim populations.
